“Love Again” intertwines a melancholic message with a chillhop beat. Can you walk us through how you crafted this unique soundscape? Did the emotional core of the lyrics inspire the instrumental, or did the beat spark the lyrical themes?

I wrote ‘Love again’ with SoundCartel. We originally wanted to mix Brazilian Funk with Pop and once the beat was done I wrote about a relationship I was in at the time!

Your vocals in “Love Again” effortlessly blend with the laid-back groove. What specific techniques or artists have influenced you in developing your signature vocal style?

I’ve always been a huge fan of Justin Bieber and Usher growing up, especially when it comes to their riffs and melodies so I would say they’ve heavily influenced my sound for sure!

Many fans discover new artists through their hometown connections. How has being a Metro Van-based artist impacted your journey, and how do you want to represent your city on a larger scale?

Being from so-called Vancouver I’ve been able to learn and connect with musicians from diverse artistic genres. I aspire to represent Metro Vancouver on a larger scale by showcasing its unique character and vibe through my music.

It would be remiss if we didn’t take a chance to shout out fellow contemporaries Simon Sevida, and Afta Hill, who starred alongside yourself on “busybody.” With the track’s explosive growth last year, alongside the release of HMU, has your release, or song strategy changed since?

Of course! Shoutout tito servida and tito afta hill. I’ve learned a lot in terms of how important social media can be especially tiktok in building a platform for for myself.

With “Love Again” being such a strong opening, can you give us a hint about what kind of music we can expect to hear from you for the rest of the year? Will it be a full album, an EP, or a series of singles?

Big shoutout to Tito Servida and Tito Afta Hill! These guys have been instrumental in teaching me the power of social media, especially the TikTok game. They have shown me just how crucial it is to ride the wave of platforms like TikTok to carve out my space and amplify my voice in the digital jungle.
